GREEN BAY, WIS. — On March 7, raw frozen and freeze-dried pet food and treat company Carnivore Meat Company® announced its brand Vital Essentials® has been named “Official Pet Food” of the 2022 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (MJS) Sports Show. As the “Official Pet Food,” Vital Essentials will sponsor the Vital Essentials Fastest Retriever Contest at the MJS Sports Show, set to occur from March 10 to 13 in Milwaukee, Wis.
The MJS Sports Show is an annual event featuring exhibitors, guest speakers and workshops on outdoor recreation. Past events have featured hunting dog demonstrations and the Fastest Retriever Contest. This year, 60 dogs will compete to win the title of “Champion Retriever” and a $250 certificate for Vital Essentials freeze-dried dog treats and food.
“This sponsorship of the MJS Sports Show is representative of our ongoing dedication to supporting the community,” said Melissa Olson, vice president of sales and marketing, Carnivore. “As a Wisconsin-based company, we’re proud of our Midwestern culture and are excited to be a part of making this event happen. The MJS Sports Show allows local businesses the chance to showcase their story and gives Wisconsin families the opportunity to participate in what makes our state so unique.”
Carnivore’s sponsorship of the MJS Sports Show is part of the company’s goal to elevate the Wisconsin area through business expansion. In January 2022, the pet food company acquired its fourth facility in Green Bay, and in August 2021, Carnivore ranked No. 2,811 in Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 list of fastest-growing private companies, citing a 141% three-year growth rate.
