GREEN BAY, WIS. — Carnivore Meat Company, a leading premium raw frozen and freeze-dried pet food manufacturer and parent company of Vital Essentials, announced the appointment of Danielle Rios to the newly create role of director of strategic accounts on Oct. 29.
Prior to joining Carnivore, Rios led national sales at Farmina for the past decade. According to Carnivore, Rios’ insight and dedication to the independent pet market reflect its commitment to supporting its retail partners.
“Danielle’s leadership in this space and her experience in the independent pet sector make her an excellent addition to our team,” said Nick Ebert, chief commercial officer of Carnivore. “Her focus on strategic accounts will further strengthen our relationships with independent retailers, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to thrive in today’s market.”
As Carnivore’s director of strategic accounts, Rios will help fuel the company’s expansion in the independent pet retail channel, specifically focusing on multi-unit account acquisitions and supporting neighborhood pet stores. She will work closely with Carnivore’s field sales team to create a cohesive retail approach.

Rios’ appointment comes on the heels of the appointment of Michael Wood to chief operating officer.
