TORONTO — CULT Food Science Corp. announced a new partnership with Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist Sarah Dodd, Ph.D., to help support the company’s Noochies! pet nutrition line. Dodd has joined CULT’s advisory board and will assist in product formulations, as well as design, analysis and validation of nutritional tests with Noochies! products and ingredients.
Dodd has degrees from the Massey University in New Zealand and the University of Guelph in Canada. She has been recognized as a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition by the European Board of Veterinary Specialists.
Dodd specializes in research on plant-based nutrition for pets. In clinical practices she has mostly focused on specialized formulas for cats and dogs with complex health issues. Additionally, Dodd is also a practicing veterinarian and works with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to farming animals.
“With the additional support of Sarah Dodd, I am looking forward to continuing to innovate on pet foods using evidence-based practices to ensure proper nutrition and enjoyment for all pets with every food we make,” said Lejjy Gafour, chief executive officer of CULT.
According to CULT, Dodd will help support its mission to revolutionize pet nutrition using a cell-cultivated approach.
“The prospect of working with CULT is very exciting to me,” Dodd said. “I truly expect cell-cultivated meats to contribute greatly to the future of pet foods, completely expanding the horizons of nutrient provision and changing the game for environmental, economic and social sustainability.”
