GIBSONS, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Hike Again Remedies announced its expansion into e-commerce channels. The company recently listed its supplements for mature and senior dogs on its Shopify website, as well as through Walmart, Amazon US and Amazon Canada.

“We have recently started to offer our products via Amazon in Canada, the US and Canada’s Walmart marketplace,” said David Galvez, Ph.D., founder of Hike Again Remedies. “We keep engaging innovative and environmentally conscious retailers looking to add premium health supplements to their online stores and digital marketplaces that offer to their customers the possibility of having again quality time with their senior dogs in the outdoors, rather than just a treat or a chew. These expanding sales channels are helping Hike Again Remedies to meet the growing demand for premium, sustainable, and humanized products focused on mature and senior dogs.”

Currently the company’s e-commerce site offers two dog supplements: Hike Again Mobility blend and Shield Again Immunity blend. Both supplements are currently formulated and produced in the company’s Canada facility, which also conducts microanalysis and testing to ensure consumption safety.

Hike Again Remedies first entered the pet supplement space in late 2021. In a commitment to sustainability, Hike Again’s products are formulated with Omega 3 fatty acids from wild-caught, mercury- and pesticide-free Alaska pollock from sustainable fisheries.

“Overfishing of marine sources for the production of Omega 3-rich fish oil is starting a global, slow-moving sustainability crisis fueled by the many health benefits that Omega 3-rich fish oils offer to dogs and humans,” Galvez said. “This is the reason why we only use an Omega 3-rich fish oil that is certified sustainable by an independent international recognized organization like the Marine Stewarship Council.”

As well as omega-3 fatty acids, Hike Again’s dog supplements contain other ingredients beneficial to mature and senior dogs. The Hike Again Mobility blend contains hyaluronic acid, glucosamine hydrochloride, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), hydrolyzed collaged and a blend of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The Shield Again Immunity blend contains DE-111 probiotics, Bacillus subtilis, beta-glucan prebiotics and a mix of amino acids, antioxidants and vitamins, including DL-alpha-lipoic and L-Carnitine.

Hike Again also uses sustainable packaging and tracks its carbon emissions.

“On the environmental side, we pack and ship our products using 100% compostable pouches, the new gold standard alternative to traditional plastic packaging, and track and offset 100% of the carbon emissions of all our shipments through Shopify’s OFFSET program in association with Pachama, an organization managing carbon projects across the world,” Galvez said.
