MANHATTAN, KAN. — The IGP Institute at Kansas State University (KSU) will host its 2022 Pet Food Formulation for Commercial Production course online from Jan. 10 to 14. The virtual course will include live lectures, recorded demonstrations and formulation exercises.
Pet food industry personnel in formulation, product development, quality control, marketing, procurement and sales roles, as well as ingredient and equipment suppliers and students, are encouraged to attend. Startups entering this market can also benefit from the course.
This weeklong virtual course will cover all areas of pet food formulation, from ingredients and transportation to processing and marketing. Attendees will have the opportunity to revise existing formulas and perform business and production analysis as part of the course. It will focus specifically on dog and cat nutrition and dietary needs, and the ingredient and processing considerations for creating commercial dog and cat foods in today’s market.
