Natural Balance showcased two innovations at Global: Limited Ingredient Stews for dogs and Original Ultra With Broth-Coated Kibble. Limited Ingredient Stews are formulated with protein from chicken, beef or duck, and vegetables cooked in bone broth. Original Ultra With Broth-Coated Kibble diet includes grain-inclusive and grain-free options for small and large breed dogs, as well as grain-free and wholesome grain varieties for cats and kittens.
Marcoot® Jersey Creamery’s brand Dog-O’s™ debuted brand-new ice cream products. The company’s new Dog-O’s Ice Cream for Dogs are all-natural and made in the United States. Flavors of this new frozen treat include Classic Vanilla, Pumpkin Crunch and Peanut Butter & Banana Smash.
Natoo, a pet nutrition brand owned by PremieRpet, launched a line of super-premium, “protein-packed” meal toppers for dogs and cats. The new Natoo Meal Toppers/Treats are formulated with clean ingredients, single-source proteins and palatable broths. They are available in two formulas for dogs and two for cats.
Fromm Family Foods showcased its first line of soft and savory dog treats: Tenderollies™. Tenderollies Dog Treats will be available in three formulas — Beef-a-Rollie, Chick-a-Rollie, and Bac’n Chedd-a-Rollie. They are designed as “high-value incentive and training” treating options for dogs, according to Fromm.
Nature’s Logic’s new functional dog treat line Biscuits with Benefits includes three baked treat formulas targeting common health concerns in dogs — Calming Support, Skin & Coat Care, and Healthy Digestion. Biscuits with Benefits come in versatile shapes that allow them to be fed whole or broken into smaller bits for smaller mouths and training.
During the show, Wellness Pet Company highlighted various new products, including Wellness Bowl Boosters® for cats. The product is available in three protein-rich flavors that support daily hydration and are free from meat byproducts, wheat, corn and soy. The company also showcased its first line of pet supplements and other dog food products.
Among its various new products, Petcurean debuted its new SUMMIT recipes for dogs and cats. The products will launch in the United States and return to the Canadian market with a new look and feel. SUMMIT formulations have been updated to elevate the palatability and nutrition of the products, which contain premium-quality animal proteins, fruits, vegetables and grains.
Instinct Pet Food debuted an expansion of its Raw Boost Mixers line at Global Pet Expo 2023. The new Instinct Raw Boost Mixers Multivitamin for cats is formulated with key vitamins and minerals, including 27 nutrients, and freeze-dried raw pieces of protein. The product is available for adult and senior cats ages 7 and older.
Open Farm showcased its new RawMix line for dogs and cats. The complete-and-balanced diets combine freeze-dried raw-coated bites, bone broth-coated kibble pieces and freeze-dried raw chunks. The line seeks to “ReWild” pets’ diets with easy-to-serve “ancestral nutrition inspired by the wild,” according to the company. For dogs, RawMix is available in three recipes featuring both grain-free and ancient-grain formulas: Front Range, Open Prairie and Wild Ocean. For cats, the formula is available in two grain-free recipes: Open Prairie and Wild Ocean.
During the show, Raw Dynamic exhibited many of its new freeze-dried raw products for dogs and cats, including complete-and-balanced formulas for cats and air-dried, single-source protein pet treats. The company’s Freeze-Dried Raw Cat Food is available in four recipes: Chicken, Beef, Lamb and Rabbit. Each formula contains humanely raised and responsibly sourced ingredients, according to the company.
Insect-based pet nutrition company Jiminy’s debuted its new Dental Chews products for adult dogs. The new chews offer a texture that can help clean teeth, freshen breath and reduce plaque and tartar build-up. Available in a cinnamon flavor and formulated with sustainable insect protein, the chews are available in various sizes for extra-small, small, medium and large dogs.
Lord Jameson showcased this new product during the tradeshow. Reminiscent of sprinkles used for baking, Celebration Superfetti Dog Sprinkles can be served as a meal enhancer. The topper is formulated with superfoods, organic coconut shreds, colors sourced from plants, and is completely vegan.
During the show, Boss Nation’s brand Boss Cat® showed off a new flavor of its Freeze-Dried Raw Diet for cats — Pork Recipe. The recipe is formulated with pork, organs, bones, produce, oils, vitamins, minerals and more, providing a complete-and-balanced diet for felines. The Freeze-Dried Raw Pork Recipe is also infused with probiotics to support overall health and wellness.
Stella & Chewy’s debuted its newest line for cats: Frozen Raw Dinner Morsels. The new product line is formulated with 98% meat, organs, bone and responsibly sourced proteins. Frozen Raw Dinner Morsels for cats can be quickly thawed, according to the company. The line boasts four recipes: Chick Chick Chicken, Duck Duck Goose, Absolutely Rabbit, and Tummy Ticklin’ Turkey.
Tiki Cat, a subset of the Tiki Pets brand owned by Whitebridge Pet Brands, exhibited several new flavors and formats of its Tiki Cat Baby line, designed specifically for kittens. The brand’s latest innovations include a Mousse and Shreds format available in three flavors, a variety pack, and a high-calorie supplement for newborns and kittens to support energy, weight gain and growth.
Diggin’ Your Dog and Super Snouts showcased this functional product for pets. The pet bars serve as a digestive aid, supporting normal gastrointestinal health and normal stool consistency. Offered in a convenient, on-the-go format, the bars also contain a blend of antioxidants to support healthy digestion in both dogs and cats.
New Zealand Natural Pet Food Co. highlighted many recent product innovations from its Meow and Woof pet nutrition lines during Global Pet Expo 2023. Products include freeze-dried bites for dogs and cats, complete-and-balanced air-dried meals for dogs and cats, and various other freeze-dried and air-dried treats. All the products are formulated with high-quality proteins and ingredients, according to the company.
At the show, Petcurean also exhibited its new formulas for large breed dogs. GO! SOLUTIONS SKIN + COAT CARE Large Breed Puppy + Adult Salmon Recipes with Grains for Dogs are tailored to meet the specific needs of large breed dogs at each stage of life. The recipes feature salmon as the single source of animal protein, targeted minerals to support strong bones, and large-sized kibble for big mouths.
BIXBI unveiled its new Rawbble line for cats, offering freeze-dried nutrition. The new Rawbble Freeze-Dried diets contain 94% to 97% protein, organs and bone sourced from pasture-fed beef, cage-free turkey, cage-free chicken, or chicken and salmon. The line includes four recipes: Beef, Turkey, Chicken, and Chicken and Salmon.
Nootie™ debuted its new Progility Minis Soft Chew Supplements during Global. Designed for small- to medium-sized dog breeds, the mini supplements are available in three varieties, targeting specific health needs, including: Allergy Relief, Calming Aid and Hip & Joint. The chews come in a very soft texture for dogs with smaller mouths.
Polkadog showcased two new limited-ingredient dog treats: Green Monstah and Cake Batter. Green Monstah is formulated with green crab and kelp to help curb the overpopulation of green crab in new England’s waterways and support kelp farming. The Cake Batter treats are formulated with bananas and all-natural peanut butter from a family-owned peanut butter producer based in Massachusetts.
Canidae exhibited its new products for small breed dogs, called PURE Petite. The line offers dry formulas with freeze-dried raw coated kibble, as well as wet protein toppers. PURE Petite Freeze-Dried Raw is available in four recipes, one for puppies and three for adult dogs, all of which are grain-free. The company also showcased its PURE Freeze-Dried Raw 3-in-1 Goodness product, which can be served as a treat, topper or mix-in.
Cat-centric brand Catit debuted its new Freeze-Dried Infused recipes. The dry cat food contains pre- and probiotics to support gut health, Omega 3 fatty acids to maintain healthy skin and coat, and additional taurine, vitamins and minerals. Available in fresh chicken and salmon recipes, the diets also contain freeze-dried bits.
Among its existing line of soft chew supplements for dogs, Nulo also unveiled its newest additions to the line: Hemp & Mushroom Chews and Advanced All-in-1 Chews. The Hemp & Mushroom supplements target liver and kidney health, and the All-In-One supplements offer whole body support.
During the tradeshow, Hill’s Pet Nutrition showcased its new dry formulas for kittens and puppies. The science-based formulas each contain vital nutrients to support growth and development, as well as lifelong health. The puppy diet is available in a Lamb Meal & Brown Rice recipe, and the kitten diet is available in an Ocean Fish and Brown Rice recipe.
Boss Nation’s Boss Dog® brand exhibited its newest Freeze-Dried Raw Diet Lamb Recipe for dogs. The complete-and-balanced diet is formulated with 80% lamb, organs and bones, 20% produce, as well as vitamins, minerals and probiotics to support health and wellness. Boss Dog also showcased its Probites with Tripe freeze-dried raw treats for dogs during Global Pet Expo. The treats contain lamb, organs and bones, paired with tripe and probiotics.
Pet product manufacturer Petmate showed off its Rustic Kitchen collagen chew sticks. The rolls combine collagen with beef, offering dogs a more natural chew and a healthy rawhide alternative.
Canadian pet food company Petcurean also showcased its new limited-ingredient, grain-free, insect-inclusive formulas for dogs and cats. GO! SOLUTIONS SENSITIVITIES Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Insect Recipes are designed for pets with food allergies or sensitivities. Because the product uses insect proteins, it provides a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious consumers, according to the company.
smallbatchcat unveiled its new Freeze-Dried Meal Bites for cats. Formulated with 98% meat, organs and bones, the product can serve as a complete-and-balanced meal or topper. The line includes three formulas: Turkey Batch, Beef Batch and Chicken Batch.
China-based Chongqing Sweet Pet Products Co., Ltd showed off several varieties of its collagen dog chews. The company offers a wide variety of food-shaped chews, including croissant, braided, pretzel, donut and more. The chews seek to support health in wellness in dogs by providing them with additional collagen.
Cunipic unveiled its new product for cats: ERA Hypoallergenic Formula for Sterilized Cats. Formulated with 70% animal-sourced ingredients, as well as functional and natural ingredients, the diet is specifically made for adult cats that have been neutered or spayed. The diet is available in a Fresh Salmon & Turkey Recipe.
NutriSource showcased these new freeze-dried formats for dogs during the tradeshow. The Freeze-Dried Bites can be used as a meal, topper or treat and are available in three recipes: Turkey & Venison, Chicken & Duck, and Beef & Lamb. They are also available in slider formats. The company also revealed that it would soon release new grain-free dog diets and wet and dry cat food formulas.
Nestlé Purina Petcare displayed its latest product innovations, including its new Prime Bits and Prime Bones dog treats. With a tender and meaty texture, Prime Bits are formulated with wild venison and contain limited ingredients. Prime Bones chew sticks are formulated with grass-fed beef and are rawhide free, serving as a natural rawhide alternative.
Merrick Pet Care showcased its BBQ-inspired treats for dogs. The treats include Memphis Style Glazed Chicken Tenders, Texas Style Glazed Jerky Beef Strips, and Carolina Style Glazed Beef Sausage Bites. Each treat is slow-cooked and complements the brand’s existing BBQ-inspired wet dog food line, which first launched at Global Pet Expo 2020.
Champion Petfoods' ORIJEN brand debuted its new Guardian Senior dry cat food, formulated to support cats ages 7 and up. The formula contains wild-caught salmon, duck and “free-run” chicken proteins. Guardian Senior supports immune, joint, bone, digestive, skin and coat, brain, eye and heart health, and muscle and weight maintenance, according to the company. The product builds upon its Guardian cat food line, which includes a new Chicken, Wild-Caught Salmon & Rabbit recipe and a diet for kittens.
Alongside its puppy and kitten formulas, Hill’s Pet Nutrition presented its newest functional formulas, expanding its Science Diet Specialty line. Products include Perfect Weight & Joint Support dry dog food, Sensitive Stomach & Skin dry dog and cat food, and Perfect Digestion wet dog food. All formulas are designed for adult dogs and cats and seek to support specific health concerns.
Alongside its products for Tiki Cat Baby, Tiki Cat also showcased products under its Tiki Cat Silver line, designed to support cats ages 11 and older. Latest innovations include Tiki Cat Silver Comfort, a high-calorie supplement, a new Mousse and Shreds format, and a variety pack offering four recipes in the line.
Champion Petfoods’ ACANA brand debuted its new dry dog food format: Butcher’s Favorites. The diets combine premium kibble with real protein jerky pieces. The new line includes three recipes: Wild-Caught Salmon, Farm-Raised Beef & Liver, and Free-Run Poultry & Liver. Each recipe contains 70% animal-based ingredients and 30% plant-based ingredients and does not contain any artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. ACANA also showed off its new grain-inclusive Large Breed Adult and Puppy recipes at the show.
Pawse displayed its newest pet supplement: Mighty Mushrooms. The limited-ingredient supplement includes USDA Certified Organic extracts from fruiting bodies of the Chaga, Maitake, Reishi, Shiitake and Turkey Tail mushroom varieties. The freeze-dried soft chews aim to support healthy immune response, anal glands, skin and allergy responses in both dogs and cats.
Alongside its new RawMix line, Open Farm also exhibited its new grain-free, freeze-dried raw recipes for cats. The minimally processed recipes are formulated with 92% to 98% meat, organ and bones. The line offers four recipes: Wild-Caught Salmon & Cod, Surf & Turf, Chicken & Salmon, and Harvest Chicken.
Icelandic+ unveiled these new collagen treats for dogs. The Collagen Puffs are formulated with just two ingredients to help support healthy joints, skin and coat. They are available in two recipes: Baked Beef Collagen with Dehydrated Kelp and Baked Beef Collagen with Lamb Marrow, offering dogs a protein-rich, crunchy treat. The treats are available in two sizes for regular-sized dogs and small-sized dogs.
A Better Treat showcased its first complete-and-balanced meal line during the show. Called A Better Dog Food – Raw You Can See, the meals pair high-protein kibble with whole freeze-dried raw pieces of protein and produce. The formula is available in two recipes featuring two proteins: salmon and chicken.
Petmate’s Wild Eats brand displayed its line of Collagen chews for dogs, which include stick and pretzel shapes. The chews serve as an alternative to rawhide and pair duck proteins with collagen. The chews seek to support healthy digestion, as well as promote dental, coat, skin, joint and muscle health.
Female-founded pet health company Fera Pet Organics unveiled its new supplement powders for pets. The supplements are available in five recipes, each targeting a specific health benefit: Immune, Skin & Coat, Hip & Joint, Calm, and Multivitamin. Each supplement contains goat milk and is designed for both dogs and cats.
Purina also exhibited its new life-stage specific dry cat food formulas. Purina Pro Plan Vital Systems for adult cats and senior cats offer complete-and-balanced nutrition while providing supplemental health benefits. Vital Systems for senior cats is specifically formulated to improve and extend life for cats ages 7 and up by supporting digestive, kidney, brain health and more. Vital Systems for adult cats aims to support digestion, muscle, brain and immune health.
