This AFIA director of regulatory affairs works to balance industry needs with regulatory demands.

AFIA’s Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference will be held in March in Orlando, Fla.

The tools are designed to help the animal feed and pet food industry support sustainability efforts.

Andi Harizi will support the organization, as well as its partners IFEEDER, FAEA and the GFLI. 

From enhancing trade opportunities to providing educational and networking programs, these associations support the industry’s goal of ensuring pet health and wellness.  

The one-day event will be held in conjunction with IPPE 2025 in Atlanta.

Under GFI #293, the agency would not enforce animal food additive requirements on ingredients listed in the 2024 AAFCO Official Publication.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of proper pet nutrition and expand the United States’ market access to the country. 

The course will be offered from Nov. 12 to Dec. 17, covering all aspects of food safety regulations.

The educational and networking event brought nearly 300 professionals together in Kansas City.
