The Pet Food Processing Exchange is an inaugural in-person conference in Kansas City this October.

The resource aims to help animal feed and pet food processors advance their sustainability efforts. 

The event will be held in Bonita Springs, Fla., in November.

The American Feed Industry Association and Pet Food Institute were among the 66 recipients of funding from the USDA RAPP.

During its annual spring meeting, the association also advocated for animal food industry issues on Capitol Hill. 

A driver shortage, port congestion, labor and trade disputes, and other distribution snags all eventually lead to increased costs for consumers.
