The pet food brand has launched two dog foods in its new SuperMedleys line.

The J.M. Smucker Company has appointed Cory Onell as senior vice president to lead the company's retail sales operations and manage customer and brand commercialization.

As the company nears its full capacity for pet food manufacturing, it is focused on high volume brands to meet increasing demand.

John Brase will have have strategic oversight of the company's three US business segments including its largest business, pet food and pet snacks.

Net sales were down for the company overall, as well as in premium dog food and pet treats, with the cat category maintaining steady growth.

The company said it plans to close two distribution centers and a few smaller storage warehouses in favor of opening a new distribution center in Carlisle.
