LOHR AM MAIN, GERMANY — Equipment supplier Bosch Rexroth is expanding its VarioFlow conveyor system to include its new VarioFlow belt conveyor variant. Featuring a fine-meshed chain surface, the stand-alone conveyor belt system is designed to ensure that consumer packaged goods (CPG), such as pet food, are transported both gently and efficiently.

While the system’s fine-meshed surface makes it suitable for the mass transport of unstable or bulk, film-packed products, it can also be used to convey large or wide products. Additionally, VarioFlow modular belts can also easily transport deep-drawn plastic trays, which usually have a delicate contact surface.

The belt includes modular belts in standard widths of 406 and 608 millimeters and scalable cross connectors, which make it possible to implement customized belt widths. Vertical and horizontal curves on the equipment allow conveyor lengths of up to 30 meters, layouts with curves on both sides and conveyor speeds of up to 40 meters per minute.

MTpro, Bosch Rexroth’s free and “intuitive” software for planning assembly systems, supports users from selection and configuration all the way through to ordering of Rexroth products. The Layout Designer allows users to configure complex constructions and system layouts to be created in minimal time, according to the company.

According to Bosch Rexroth, the equipment also features quick and simple installation, with fewer rails needing to be installed compared to standard solutions on the market. The sliding rails are mounted from the side without the use of any rivets, ensuring the equipment runs smoothly with little wear.
