Material processing and handling solutions companies Advanced Material Processing and Automated Handling Solutions have merged and rebranded as Akona Process Solutions.

The conveyor belt system is designed to ensure goods are transported gently and efficiently. 

The company expanded its Swiss facility by 55% to total 45,200 square feet.

The state-of-the-art facility aims to further develop the region’s manufacturing sector.

The company’s Bucket Elevators will be included in the live pet treat production line.

The company has acquired PPM Technologies, a manufacturer of various food processing solutions.

The facility is equipped with product transfer systems from AHS- and AMP-owned brands, including Cablevey, Spiroflow Systems, Marion Mixers, and Kason Corporation.

Paul Nunes will succeed Vincent Moretti, who will retire on June 21.

The auction includes filling, robotic, palletizing and other production equipment.

The company said one of its customers saw improved production capacity within a smaller manufacturing footprint with the system.
