LOS ANGELES — Oh Norman!, a pet care brand by Actress Kaley Cuoco, announced the appointment of Hoagie, a rescue dog, to chief treat officer on Nov. 14. In his new role, Hoagie will help test and review Oh Norman!’s new products before they hit the market.
Oh Norman! originally began its search for a chief taste officer in June, seeking a dog to fill the role. The company sought candidates that had a keen sense of smell and taste, an understanding of trends and their pup peers, and a supportive pet parent that could assist with photography and social media. According to Oh Norman!, it received more than 5,000 submissions for the role.
Hoagie was selected by Cuoco following a public vote in which consumers voted for their favorite dog. The pup was rescued by Mutt Scouts in San Diego and adopted by Emily Reas and Julia Ptasznik a year ago. Hoagie is known for his affinity for sardines, carrots and other treats.
“I’m so excited that Hoagie will be joining the Oh Norman! team as our new chief treat officer,” Cuoco said. “After reviewing thousands of applications, it became clear that he was the perfect fit for the position and stood for everything our company represents. Oh Norman! was created to make a difference in the lives of dogs and raise awareness for the rescues who are making a difference on the frontlines. We’re thrilled to be able to partner with a dog and a family that upholds these values. We can’t wait to see what Hoagie does as our chief treat officer.”
Hoagie will hold the role for one calendar year.
