ARLINGTON, VA. — The American Feed Industry Association is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Friend of Pet Food Award. The award recognizes leaders in the pet food industry who have made significant contributions to support growth and advancements in the industry.

Ideal nominees are typically employed and active in the pet food industry or an associated area, such as new product development, transportation, regulatory, academia, media or promotion. 

To nominate an individual, completed nomination forms must be submitted to AFIA’s Louise Calderwood, director of regulatory affairs, by Monday, Oct. 28. 

Previous Friend of Pet Food Award winners include: Angele Thompson, Steve Thomas, George Fahey and Dennis Jewell.

The award will be presented at the 2025 Pet Food Conference on Jan. 28, 2025, held in conjunction with the International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta. Registration for the conference will open Oct. 7.
