DENVER — Pet food co-manufacturer Alphia announced the appointment of Jarrod Kersey as the new vice president of Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA), effective immediately. Kersey will take on the critical job of maintaining overall product safety, quality and regulatory compliance in his new role.
Kersey brings more than two decades of experience in the pet food industry to his new position. Prior to joining Alphia, Kersey worked as vice president of Food Safety & Quality Assurance and Government Affairs for Simmons Pet Food.

As vice president of FSQA, Kersey will be tasked with establishing and enforcing quality control procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting audits and inspections throughout Alphia’s facility network. In addition, he will lead supplier management and ensure products meet customer standards. As the leader of Alphia’s FSQA team, Kersey will work to establish ongoing improvement and cross-department collaboration to help the company exceed its safety guidelines throughout operations.
