RIVERSIDE, CALIF. — The World Pet Association (WPA) has announced the addition of Christen Tye to its team as content manager. WPA, the pet industry’s oldest nonprofit organization, organizes North America’s largest pet industry trade show, SUPERZOO.
Tye brings more than a decade of expertise in orchestrating comprehensive educational programs for the industry’s foremost trade shows. Her experience includes managing speaker databases, overseeing budgeting processes, and carrying out both hands-on training and live demonstrations. Her approach previously earned her recognition as one of the Trade Show Executive Women to Watch for 2022.
“We are delighted to welcome Christen to the WPA team,” said Mike Karsting, senior vice president at WPA. “Tye’s innovative approach and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our mission to provide top-tier educational experiences for our attendees.”
Tye will oversee the educational programs for SUPERZOO and GROOM’D, formerly known as the Atlanta Pet Fair and Conference. Her responsibilities include recruiting and managing a diverse lineup of industry-leading speakers, reviewing and selecting topic proposals, and curating an educational content strategy that aligns with the evolving needs of the industry.
Additionally, Tye will coordinate all aspects of the onsite experience, from speaker logistics to attendee engagement.
“I am eager to leverage my experience in trade show education to elevate the content and experience for attendees at SUPERZOO and GROOM’D,” Tye said. “Building strong relationships and making meaningful connections within the pet retail and grooming communities is a priority, and I am committed to delivering exceptional educational content that will inspire and empower our attendees.”
Tye’s new responsibilities will kick in soon during SUPERZOO 2024, which will be held Aug. 14 to 16 in Las Vegas.
