AUSTIN, TEXAS — Dog supplement brand Aterra announced July 9 that its products are now available via e-commerce giant Amazon. According to the brand, this distribution expansion represents a significant milestone in its mission to make premium, veterinarian-formulated pet wellness supplements more accessible to pups and their owners.

Arterra launched toward the end of 2023 with a focus on helping improve the health and wellness of dogs. The brand offers powdered supplements for adult and senior dogs specifically designed to support healthy aging and enhance longevity, a rather new target in pet supplementation.

Arterra’s supplements are formulated with 63 premium ingredients all backed by science. In leveraging a litany of ingredients, the supplements use an “entourage effect,” as all 63 ingredients work synergistically to enhance overall health. According to Arterra, this makes it particularly unique and allows it to provide more complete wellness support compared to other pet supplements.

Additionally, the brand is selective with its ingredients, promoting their source, form and health benefits. For example, Arterra uses fruiting bodies compared to mycelium in its mushrooms to help ensure bioavailability.

Aterra’s supplements aim to serve as an all-in-one, daily wellness solution, targeting hip and joint health, cognition and mood, immune and cellular function, gut health, organ function and allergy relief.

“Our mission at Arterra has always been to redefine pet wellness and longevity,” said Jonathan Willbanks, founder and chief executive officer of Arterra. “Expanding our distribution to Amazon allows us to reach a broader audience and provide more dogs with the transformative benefits of our comprehensive wellness formulas. It’s an exciting time to be driving the acceleration of this breakthrough category in pet wellness and life extension.”

The brand is backed by Boulder Food Group and Gestalt Idea Group, as well as Carly Kremer and Daniel Millar, co-founders of Beekeepers’ Naturals; Brian Tate, founder of Overnight Oats; and Matt LaCasse, founder of Birch Blenders.
