NEW YORK — Rooted Owl™ is expanding its Hemp product portfolio with the addition of a new supplement line. The supplements for cats and dogs are formulated by veterinarians and are designed to enhance the health and wellbeing of pets.

Each supplement comes in a vegan, neutral-flavored capsule — Capsugel® made by Lonza. The capsules protect the ingredients from environmental degradation, preserve potency and ensure accurate dosing to pets. The vegan ingredients of the capsule also help protect the pets’ sensitive gastrointestinal tract during digestion, according to Rooted Owl.

The line includes a supplement designed for joint and muscle health that comes in two versions: one for medium and large dogs and one for cats and small dogs. The product is formulated to support muscle recovery, joint reconstitution and pain relief. The supplements contain UC-II® Type II Collagen from Lonza, which, according to scientific studies, is superior to glucosamine often found in other hip and joint pet supplements, the company said.

In addition, the supplement is the only product on the market to combine UC-II® with L-Carnitine, designed for recovering muscle function, according to the company.

The new supplements join the company’s portfolio of Hemp products designed for pet anxiety relief, including Rooted Owl Calming Oil and Mobility & Calm Treats containing cannabinoids and terpenes.
