BROOKLYN, NY. — EcoLogic Solutions, a B Corp-certified cleaning technology provider specializing in eco-friendly products and solutions for hospitals and restaurants, announced April 26 it is venturing into the pet product category by joining the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC). According to the company, it is the first cleaning business to join the PSC’s ranks.
“Pets deserve the level of cleanliness hospitals, schools and human food manufacturers demand, and we all need those cleaning solutions to be much safer and more sustainable,” said Anselm Doering, chief executive officer of EcoLogic Solutions.
EcoLogic Solutions’ cleaning interventions are EPA-approved. The company’s portfolio includes pet-safe products that leverage electrolysis through a proprietary electrical Chemical Activation (ECA) device, EcoLogic Solutions explained. The process involves hypochlorous acid (HOCI) to sanitize, deodorize and disinfect surfaces and areas while remaining non-toxic to pets, people and the planet.
“The Pet Sustainability Coalition is thrilled to welcome EcoLogic Solutions as a new Champion Member,” said Jim Lamancusa, executive director of the PSC. “The pet industry is filled with toxic chemicals that hurt pets and their owners, so brands like EcoLogic Solutions are needed more now than ever. Their incredible innovation in the cleaning space, as well as their commitment to sustainability, will be a huge asset to the pet industry and we can’t wait to introduce them to the rest of the coalition.”
The cleaning solutions offered by EcoLogic Solutions will be applicable to several pet industry sectors such as in veterinary clinics, kennels and shelters, grooming areas, pet stores, and manufacturing facilities where pet consumables are produced.
Founded in 2005, EcoLogic Solutions has received several awards for its advancements in cleaning technology and sustainability. The company was awarded “Best for the World, Best for Workers, Best for the Environment” from B Corporation; “Clean Tech Pioneer” from Inc. Magazine; and was given in Real Leader’s 2023 Impact Award, as well as listed among its “70 environmental leaders you should know.”
“Our sustainable cleaning solutions are literally part of the solution for pet sustainability, and we’re honored to join the 200 companies working to green the pet industry with the Pet Sustainability Coalition,” Doering said. “Veterinary hospitals, pet kennels, pet food makers and pet stores can do better than bleach or quat (ammonia). We’re joining PSC to show the industry a more effective, safer, and sustainable solution.”
