NEW YORK — Kormotech’s Optimeal brand announced May 25 it has added a new 3.3-lb option to its cat food portfolio, featuring more sustainable packaging for its dry cat food formulas. The new sustainable bags aim to meet increased consumer demand for environmentally friendly pet food packaging solutions.

Dry cat food formulas under the Optimeal brand feature lamb, salmon, chicken and turkey proteins, as well as Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, salmon oil and zinc to support coat health, according to the company.

Kormotech is a family-owned pet food manufacturer based in Ukraine. The company has remained operational and agile through Russia’s invasion of the country, as detailed in an exclusive interview with Chief Executive Officer Rostyslav Vovk.
