NEW YORK — On April 17, human-grade dog food brand PetPlate announced the launch of PetPlate Park, a game-centric, metaverse dog park made in collaboration with Cominted Labs. PetPlate Park will support PetPlate’s launch of new supplements.
PetPlate Park seeks to foster creativity and innovation between the gaming and pet communities, both of which are the brand’s target customers, according to PetPlate. In the metaverse park, players can receive real-life prizes by finding dogs and matching their health needs with a PetPlate product. Prizes range from PetPlate branded merchandise to NFT collectibles and discounted pet nutrition products.
“As one of the first virtual pet games in Decentraland, it's been incredible to see the amount of interest we've received from pet lovers across the globe,” said Guillaume Chichmanov, founder of Cominted Labs. “PetPlate has the same nerdy-cool, fun, forward-thinking ethos we have with Petaverse, so we knew this collaboration would result in a game both of our audiences would enjoy.”
The launch into the metaverse also supports PetPlate’s debut of its new supplement products: ‘Chill Out’ and ‘Up to Fluff’ soft chews. Similarly to PetPlate’s existing products, the new supplements are human-grade, vet-designed and made with USDA-certified organic ingredients.
‘Chill Out’ Soft Chews are calming supplements formulated with ashwagandha and L-theanine to promote relaxation. The calming supplements are available in a peanut butter carob flavor.
‘Up to Fluff’ Soft Chews are skin and coat supplements formulated with biotin and salmon oil to support coat health. The supplements are available in a carrot cake and cranberry flavor.
“Since founding PetPlate, we’ve always leaned into science-backed formulas and data-driven methods for developing new products,” said Renaldo Webb, said founder and chief product officer of PetPlate. “We realized two main pain points for our customers are needing relaxation support and coat support, so we knew this was the right direction to go for our next set of products, and our customers are already loving them.”
