GOODLETTSVILLE, TENN. — Dollar General Corporation announced it has reformulated and rebranded its Nature’s Menu pet food line. The premium line is made in the United States and features recipes for dogs and cats.
According to Dollar General, its investment in Nature’s Menu represents the company’s commitment to private brands and dedication to offering consumers premium products at a value price.
“Our team of brand managers and buyers strive to ensure each private brand item we develop focuses on the needs of our customers and their families,” said Jackie Li, senior vice president of private brands and global sourcing at Dollar General. “Such is the case with Nature’s Menu, Dollar General’s exclusive super premium dog and cat food brand. Nature’s Menu is made by a family-owned and operated company in the United States and, like other DG private brands, is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. We are pleased to bring this exceptional, premium brand of pet food to market.”
The dry pet food line is formulated with proteins from beef, lamb and farm-raised, cage-free chicken, as well as other natural ingredients, including vegetables and wholesome grains. Nature’s Menu recipes are from free corn, soy, wheat, fillers, animal byproducts, and artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. The dry pet food is also enhanced with pre- and probiotics, vitamins, minerals, and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to support digestive health.
The line includes five varieties: Chicken with Brown Rice, Lamb with Brown Rice, and Beef with Brown Rice for adult dogs, Chicken and Brown Rice for puppies, and Chicken and Brown Rice for cats.
Nature’s Menu dry formulas are available exclusively at Dollar General locations throughout the United States in 3.5-lb, 5-lb and 15-lb bags for prices ranging from $7 to $20 per bag.
Along with the reformulation of its dry pet food, Dollar General revealed plans to reformulate its wet pet food line later this year.
