HØRSHOLM, DENMARK — Natural color supplier Oterra announced the appointment of Vera Karmebäck to the new position of global sustainability lead. According to Oterra, sustainability will be a key focus as the company seeks to expand in 2023.
“Our employees and customers expect us to be the industry leader when it comes to sustainability — and as a natural colors company that believes nature got it right — it makes perfect sense that we lead the color industry in finding the best ways to adopt sustainable practices for the future,” said Odd Erik Hansen, chief executive officer, Oterra.
Prior to joining Oterra, Karmebäck worked at RA International, serving as sustainability coordinator and sustainability manager. At Oterra, she will help advance the company’s presence, as well as its sustainability efforts.
Karmebäck has been recognized for her work in sustainable development goals (SDGs). In 2022, she was named a UN Global Compact SDG Pioneer for her work in integrating SDGs into RA International’s business.
