ORLANDO, FLA. — Zesty Paws and Solid Gold, two pet nutrition companies owned by H&H Group, announced a joint donation to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando in late November. The donation is a continuation of more than $300,000 donated to various North American pet community organizations throughout 2022.
The most recent donation to Pet Alliance was made on Nov. 29 in honor of Giving Tuesday. The donation included $12,000 worth of dog and cat food products.
“World Community Day is one of our biggest events at H&H each year and is a great opportunity for us to give back to our communities, both globally and locally,” said Steve Ball, chief executive officer of North America at H&H Group. “All our charitable donations, product donations, and day of volunteering ladder back to H&H’s core values, and we are honored to be able to support so many people and pets through these various donations.”
Aside from its most recent support of Pet Alliance, Zesty Paws and Solid Gold have provided roughly $20,000 to Greater Good Charities in support of relief efforts in Ukraine. Additionally, the companies awarded approximately $250,000 worth of product donations to various shelters and rescue groups, including Orange County Animals Services, Warrior Canine Connection, Old Glory Service Dogs, Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, Humane Society of Lebanon County, BARCS Animal Shelter, Maryland SPCA, Canine Companions, and others.
The company also raised $65,000 through an 8,000-hour global volunteer effort to support World Community Day. Funds raised were doled out to the brands’ charitable partners, including Greater Good and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, among others.
