NEW YORK — Natural and holistic pet food company Health Extension debuted its new line of treats using upcycled ingredients.
"Environmentally sourced and produced, every Health Extension Upcycled Pet Treat is made from human-grade ingredients," said Brad Gruber, president of Health Extension Pet Care. "Give your pet a snack and help us fight food waste with these perfectly ‘impawfect’ pup treats.”
Formulated with fresh fruits and vegetables, the upcycled soft-baked treats are nutrient-dense and boast high levels of protein, Omega fatty acids and fiber to support health and wellness. The line includes five formulas, three of which claim functional benefits while two feature smaller bite sizes for training.
The Impawfect™ Digestion formula includes pumpkin and ginger to support digestive health; the Immunity formula includes blueberries, kale and chia seed to support immune health; and the Hip & Joint formula contains turmeric to relieve joint pain and inflammation.
Training treats in the Impawfect treat line are available in two recipes: Apple & Cranberry and Bacon. According to Health Extension, with strong flavors and palatability, the treats can serve as regular or training treats.
