RYE, N.Y. — On Feb. 28, human-grade pet food company Raised Right announced its new paté cat food formula. The new food is formulated in partnership with a veterinarian, stored frozen and served fresh.
“As cat ownership continues to rise, we’ve had many people reach out asking if we could launch a line of paté style recipes for cats,” said Braeden Ruud, co-founder and chief executive officer, Raised Right. “To our knowledge, we’re the first company in the pet industry to create paté recipes that are lightly cooked then stored frozen and served fresh. We are very excited to introduce cats to these recipes.”
The new paté recipe is formulated with whole foods and includes two varieties: Turkey and Pumpkin and Chicken and Pumpkin. Both foods contain pumpkin, spearmint, cod liver oil, eggshell powder, flaxseed oil, dried kelp, taurine and thiamine mononitrate.
According to Raised Right, it takes food safety seriously, testing every batch of food made for bacteria, including E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella. The company posts the lab results from bacteria tests on its website and provides ingredient tracing for consumers.
With the release of its new paté cat food, Raised Right currently offers 22 human-grade pet foods, treats and toppers via its e-commerce site.
