MONROVIA, CALIF. — SuperZoo 2021, expected to be held in-person from Aug. 16 to 19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, has released its educational lineup. Seminars and trainings will be held all day on Aug. 16, one day before the show floor is opened.
This year’s curriculum will include advice, trends and insights delivered by industry experts and catering to retailers and groomers. The program is customizable, meaning attendees can personalize their educational experience to get the most from their time.
The retail track includes business topics, leadership and personal development, and nutrition and wellness discussions. This includes how to leverage SEO for a business page and new trends in pet food nutrition.
“Independent pet retailers thrive on SuperZoo’s education program, and after nearly two years without convening, our expert-led sessions are more critical to attend now than ever,” said Vic Mason, president of World Pet Association (WPA), organizer of the annual trade show. “The customized programming will feature topics including pivoting to e-commerce, animal wellness and nutrition and remaining relevant in the digital age. We’re thrilled to safely reconvene and position the pet retail community for success at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center this August. We’re working closely with local and state officials to create an environment that enables our community to meet with confidence after nearly two years apart.”
For groomers, SuperZoo will offer advice on business, styling, and safety and wellness, including CPR and first aid, as well as a session on “Caring for the Challenging Dog.”
Attendees can purchase a Retail Education Pass, a Grooming Education Pass, or a combined Retail and Grooming Education Pass to access these sessions on Aug. 16. As in the past, SuperZoo will offer a wide variety of educational content on the show floor Aug. 17 through 19. They will be offered Aug. 16-18 in the North Convention Center at Mandalay Bay.
Educational sessions will also be available on-demand through WPA365. This online platform will also allow retailers to “visit” exhibitors digitally and browse new product offerings.
WPA will be adjusting its protocols as the COVID-19 situation develops, and in accordance with guidelines set at the state and local levels, as well as measures set by the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
