CEDARBURG, Wis. — Premium pet food brand, American Natural Premium (ANP), has added another legume-free dog formula to expand its existing line of legume-free diets. The new formula, Duck Recipe with Butternut Squash, is free from legumes, peas and potatoes.
The new addition includes fresh duck and deboned turkey, butternut squash and pumpkin to support digestion, and Menhaden fish oil to provide Omega-3 fatty acids for skin and coat health. It is fortified with prebiotics and probiotics for immune system support.
While the formula is legume-free, it does contain grains such as oat flour, brown rice, ground grain sorghum and pearled barley.
ANP’s new legume-free dog food does not include chicken, corn, wheat, soy or artificial ingredients. It is available in 4-lb., 12-lb. and 33-lb. sizes.
ANP products are produced at a USDA-inspected facility, ingredients are frequently sourced from local farmers and formulas are processed in small batches at lower temperatures. The pet food company was founded in 1998 by Wisconsin residents Gene Large and Jennifer Burlo.
