The acquisition will expand PetMeds’ product offerings to include pet food, supplements and other wellness products.

The retailer will open its first retail location in the Toronto area and plans to open 200 other stores in the country.

The new store will carry the company’s gourmet dog treats, as well as dog food and other pet supplies.

The retailer has also expanded its assortment of pet food, animal feed and other key products.
