Among these trends was e-commerce and the idea of using the internet not only to purchase products, but also as a tool for learning about, comparing and reviewing pet products.

NielsenIQ shared valuable industry data pointing to up-and-coming pet food trends, purchasing behaviors and continued impacts of the FDA-DCM debacle.

The two companies will work together to build a freeze-drying facility for premium pet food and food proteins.
