The company, founded in 2018, has further expanded its portfolio of digestive health products for pets.

The two companies will work together to build a freeze-drying facility for premium pet food and food proteins. 

The company’s VFS formulas include all-natural ingredients to support five key areas of canine health and wellness.

The country’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will investigate pet food products sold in the South Korean market and ban those formulated with any of 73 designated hazardous chemicals.

These additives can be added to a formulation or on processing equipment to provide process stability, throughput, and improve final product quality. 

The five new treats are formulated to support dental health, skin and coat health, immune system health, digestion and calming.

The company will beef up its production capacity and expand to northeastern Pennsylvania later this year.

Balchem will host its inaugural online Student Research Showcase on March 16, including three Pet Food Program students from Kansas State University.
