The pet food company is voluntarily withdrawing certain lots of beef and chicken dog foods due to potential Salmonella and Listeria. 

The advisory states not to feed certain lots of the brand’s pet food due to potential Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes contamination. 

Some products tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes during an FDA facility inspection.

The recall involves four products for dogs and cats in one lot.

Blue Ridge Beef has recalled several lots of kitten and puppy formulas for Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes risk.

High pressure processing, thermal processing and additional sanitation measures can help ensure the food safety of pet foods.

The FDA issued the warning in response to observed CGMP, hazard analysis and preventive controls violations.

The affected product is Primal Pet Foods’ Raw Frozen Primal Patties for Dogs Beef Formula.
