The insect protein producer has completed a funding round, with plans to expand its production.

Alejandro “Alex” Cedeno has been appointed to senior vice president of R&D at Mars Pet Nutrition North America.

The pet food company will receive research aid from the University’s Center for Dairy Research.

The company’s Nutrition segment will acquire F.L. Emmert.

The company will acquire Akay Group, an India-based manufacturer of natural ingredients.

The company has acquired China-based Wing Pet Food, further expanding into the industry.

As well as the new facility, the company has also established a Himalayan-Style Chew Private Label division.

The fresh dog food company has added seven employees to its roster, spanning sales, product development and marketing departments.

Elizabeth Barth will serve as the company’s new chief operating officer to aid in PetDine’s plans for growth.

The company received the funding as an investment, which it will use to launch YumGrubs pet food and smart insect farms.
