Petco’s former Chief Merchandising Officer Nicholas Konat has moved into the grocery industry.

The pet retailer will expand JustFoodForDogs’ availability to more than 1,000 stores and will also create a new pet food line with the company.

In partnership with Petco, Canidae is ditching single-use plastics for select products with its innovative refill stations.

Amy College will act as the company’s new chief merchandising officer after serving with the company since 2019.

Petco’s select pet products and services will appear in select Lowe’s locations.

Iris Yen, current vice president of direct digital commerce for Nike’s global business, will help advise the company on digital retail strategies.

Currently being tested in Southern California, the new program is designed to eliminate single-use pet food bags. 

Brian LaRose will succeed Mike Nuzzo as chief financial officer of the pet retail company.
