Dr. Tony Day and Dr. Mike Arbige will help the company accelerate the development and commercialization of its fermented, meatless animal proteins for pet nutrition.
The biotech pet food startup was one of 37 businesses to be awarded a grant through the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Program.
The company is using a proprietary fermentation process to develop lab-cultured yeast proteins for the treats, focusing next on producing animal-free meat proteins.
