BANGALORE, INDIA — Insect producer Loopworm recently received EU Traces certification, enabling the company to provide the European pet food industry with sustainable, nutritious ingredients derived from silkworms.

According to the European Commission, the EU Traces certification helps increase transparency, traceability and food safety. 

The EU Traces certification builds upon several facility certifications the company received for its LoopFactory in Banagalore. Loopworm’s offerings for pet food includes silkworm pupae protein concentrate and isolate, silkworm pupae protein hydrolysate, silkworm Omega, silkworm pupae oil, and LoopGrubs.
