BLACKBURN, ENGLAND — Pets Choice Ltd has recently agreed to acquire several brands from Petlife International Ltd, expanding its portfolio of premium pet products. The acquisition includes Otodex, a pet medication brand; FormulaH and Conficlean2, disinfectant brands; Welpi, a milk replacer for puppies; and Cimicat, a milk replacer for kittens.

The brands will join Pets Choice’s family of pet food and products brands, which includes Webbox, Bob Martin, Felight, TastyBone, Vet’s Kitchen and HOWND®, which was acquired earlier this year. Pets Choice currently supplies partners in the grocery, independent retail, e-commerce, pet specialty and veterinary sectors with a variety of high-quality products.

The company plans to use its acquisition of Petlife’s brands to grow its share in premium categories.

“This is another fantastic acquisition for Pets Choice of five well-established brands as we continue our drive into product premiumization,” said Tony Raeburn, chief executive officer, Pets Choice. “We look forward to welcoming new customers to Pets Choice, as well as being able to offer these brands to our extensive and loyal customer base, helping us to further consolidate our position as a leader in the pet care industry.”

James Hancock, CEO of Petlife, added, “I have known Tony for many years and when we made the decision to sell some brands, enabling us to concentrate and invest in our Vetbed manufacturing division, Tony was our first port of call and Pets Choice are the perfect fit to drive these fantastic brands to the next level.”

Pets Choice will takeover sales for the brands beginning Nov. 1.
