KANSAS CITY, MO. — On Sept. 19, ProSpection Solutions announced an exclusive partnership with System Square to bring innovative x-ray and high-resolution, dual-energy technology to the US market. According to ProSpection Solutions, the technology is the industry’s first high-resolution, dual-energy x-ray system. 

Through the partnership, ProSpection Solutions will serve as the exclusive distributor of System Square’s inspection technology. ProSpection Solutions will showcase equipment during Pack Expo from Nov. 3 to 6 in Chicago.

System Square offers a line of advanced x-ray technologies, including its SXM2 Series and SXS2 Series. 

SXM2 Series x-ray inspection systems are equipped with high-precision, dual-energy sensors and artificial intelligence (AI), which allows the processing of two overlapping images in a single inspection. This provides images with higher contrast and crisp resolution, enabling the system to find extremely small contaminates consistently within even the most difficult products, according to ProSpection Solutions. 

Additionally, the SXM2 systems comes with visual inspection assistance for easy location and removal of contaminates and touts a hygienic design for easy cleaning. 

SXS2 Series x-ray seal inspections systems bring two technologies together — x-ray and optical sensors — combined with AI. This allows the system to detect foreign objects and confirm a package’s relative weight, dimensions, product shape, defect and total area. 

Additionally, the equipment can precisely monitor package sealing. By overlaying both x-ray and optical images, the SXS2 detect seals contamination from liquids and solids in trays and flexible packaging, and even through printed, colored and aluminum films. According to ProSpection Solutions, the x-ray seal inspection equipment will lead the US market in packaging defect identification.
