According to the company, these certifications underscore its dedication toward safety, quality and industry compliance in providing insect-based proteins for pet food and animal feed.

Obtaining the ISO 22000 certificate ensures that all the company’s insect-derived products are produced in a controlled and hygienic environment to eliminate any possibility of contamination. It also certifies that Loopworm products are safe for animal consumption and won’t introduce harmful pathogens into the supply chain, avoiding disease outbreaks, according to the company.

The GMP+ (Good Manufacturing Practices for Feed) certifies the consistent production and quality control of the company’s feed products. This certification is also important in demonstrating compliance with international quality and safety standards for feed, according to Loopworm.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) also uplifts Loopworm’s preemptive measures for risk management. By observing and controlling hazards, HACCP certification ensures that the company’s products do not contain biological, chemical or physical contamination.
