EAST LONGMEADOW, MASS. — On Aug. 26, pet product producer W.F. Young announced it has become an Associate Member of the Independent & Neighborhood Pet Retail Association (IndiePet). In joining the organization, W.F. Young’s range of pet products will be more accessible to independent pet stores, according to the company.
IndiePet is a nonprofit trade organization developed by and for independent pet retailers. The organization aims to support the independent pet retail channel, partnering with pet product manufacturers, distributors and service providers.
By joining IndiePet, W.F. Young aims to support the organization’s mission by promoting the value of independent pet retailers. The company’s products will now be available to the independent pet channel, providing retailers with more pet care products to meet the needs of their customers.
“We’re thrilled to become members of IndiePet and to align ourselves with an organization that shares our passion for the pet industry,” said Andy Leebrick, chief revenue officer at W.F. Young. “Independent pet retailers play a crucial role in the pet community, offering personalized service and expert knowledge that larger chains often cannot match. Through this partnership, we aim to further support our independent retailer partners by providing them with the resources and products they need to thrive.”
As members of IndiePet, W.F. Young will also have the opportunity to engage with other pet industry leaders, share best practices, and participate in initiatives specifically designed to promote the success of independent pet stores throughout the United States.
