AMERSFOORT, THE NETHERLANDS — IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients announced that Rick Houtepen has joined the company as sales manager. According to IQI, Houtepen’s appointment illustrates the company’s ambitions to expand its business in Europe. 

Prior to joining IQI, Houtepen served as an account manager and sales manager at various food companies, gaining extensive knowledge in the meat and pet food industries. Additionally, Houtepen has worked in the European market and focused on the wet pet food category. 

“When I entered the pet food industry some years ago, I instantly knew that this was where I wanted to progress my career,” Houtepen said. “I am proud to now be offered the chance to contribute to IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients, working as part of a highly skilled team. I am looking forward to seizing opportunities in the industry with high-quality pet food ingredients for cats and dogs.”

Arjan van Waes, who was recently named sales director of Europe at IQI, added, “We are delighted that Rick has joined the company and reinforced our team.
