MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS — Mid America Pet Food, manufacturer of premium pet food brands including VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food, Nature's Logic® and Eagle Mountain Pet Food,  appointed Jeff Caswell to chief executive officer, effective July 9. Mark Schiller, who has been serving as interim CEO, will transition to the board of directors.

Caswell brings to the role years of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) experience, most recently serving as CEO and board member for Sabrosura Foods. In addition, he helped cultivate growth across a range of CPG brands during his tenure at General Mills, Tyson Foods, Hillshire Brands and Conagra Brands.

“Jeff is an exceptional leader who consistently cultivates company culture, strengthens customer relationships and builds brands that consumers love,” Schiller said. “His proven track record of accelerating brands while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and customer service makes him well positioned to lead Mid America Pet Food through its exciting next phase of growth.”

Since its founding in 2007, Mid America Pet Food has invested heavily in its team and manufacturing facilities, including its newest location in Mount Pleasant that involved a $40 million investment.
