HAYDEN, COLO. — O.T.I.S., producer of healthy, high-quality, sustainable treats and supplements for dogs, launched its new training treat line, called Trainers, on July 12. The treats are formulated with the same ethically sourced proteins used in O.T.I.S.’s Wild Things Bison, Venison, Elk and Salmon Jerky treats, and functional ingredients to support a dog’s mood, focus and cognitive development.
“Our customers asked for us to create bite-sized training treats made with our high-quality, ethically sourced bison, venison, elk and salmon, so we developed our new Trainers line for them,” said McKenna Cox of O.T.I.S. “These treats are the perfect blend of functional ingredients and irresistible flavors that will improve training sessions with your dog and help keep your pup focused.”
The Trainers treat line is available in four flavors: Bison, Elk, Venison and Salmon. Each treat contains high-quality proteins, which are grass-fed, pasture-raised or wild-caught, as the first ingredient. According to O.T.I.S., these proteins are packed with essential nutrients and are digestible for dogs.
In addition to high-quality proteins, Trainers treats also contain functional ingredients, including ashwagandha, L-theanine and DHA sourced from wild-caught Alaskan salmon oil, to help support joint health, cognitive development, and improved focus, memory and learning to assist in training.
Additional ingredients in the Trainers treats are all GMO-, antibiotic- and hormone-free. Similar to its other products, the treats are formulated without artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, according to the company. The new line will be showcased during SUPERZOO 2024 from Aug. 14 to 16 at O.T.I.S.'s booth #3119.
Trainers treats are just one of the many dog nutrition products O.T.I.S. offers. The company’s full range of products includes protein-packed treats, nutritional formulas, as well as salmon oil and CBD oil. All the company’s products are all-natural.
The company was inspired by a dog named Otis, who helped support children healing from trauma and became the company’s chief canine officer and mascot. The company’s name stands for Overcoming Trauma, Inspiring Survivors.
Through its product offerings, O.T.I.S. aims to support facility dog training programs and donates $1 of every product sold to facility dog programs that help children heal from trauma. Within six months of its official launch in April 2023, O.T.I.S. donated $10,000 to facility dog programs. The company has since increased this to $35,000 total, which it donated to Children's Hospital Colorado's Facility Dog Program. O.T.I.S. plans to continue its donations, providing ongoing financial support for facility dog programs and helping raise awareness on the benefits of these programs.
