SUNRISE, FLA. — Specialty pet supply retailer Pet Supermarket announced the appointment of Harry Freed to senior vice president of merchandising. He will join the retailer’s Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Rich Tannenbaum.
In his new role, Freed will oversee Pet Supermarket’s merchandising and e-commerce business across the company’s service areas, which include more than 225 locations throughout the Southeast United States.

Prior to joining Pet Supermarket, Freed was president of PetFamily, a division of one of the United Kingdom’s largest pet retailers, Pet Corner. During his tenure, he guided brand and merchandise implementation while overseeing PetFamily’s private-label brands, field support, real estate, pet services and overall strategy. Before joining PetFamily, Freed led field and merchandising operations at IPP and PetSmart.
