CHICAGO — Farm to Pet announced an expansion of its human-grade, protein-rich pet treat line with its new Beef Chips. The new treats are all-natural and will debut later this summer.
Farm to Pet’s new Beef Chips leverage the company’s specialized dehydration process, which is also used to produce its flagship Chicken Chips treat product. According to the company, the dehydration process preserves the nutrients and flavor of the human-grade protein while also making the treats highly digestible. To fill-out the line, Farm to Pet released Turkey Chips, a hypoallergenic treating option, and is now including beef protein in the mix.
“Beef was the logical next step, but its composition and moisture content are different from poultry and presented unique production challenges,” said Jackson Jones, founder of Farm to Pet.
Like its Chicken Chips and Turkey Chips treats, Beef Chips are made with a single, high-quality ingredient: lean, US-grown, human-grade beef. Beef Chips contain high levels of protein, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins B12 and B6. The treats contain just 6 calories each and can be fed to both dogs and cats.
“We are so proud of these nutritious pet treats and excited to get them into the mouths of dogs and cats everywhere,” Jones said.
Farm to Pet’s Beef Chips will be available in resealable 4-oz bags later this summer. The company also has plans to launch other products later this year.
