BOCA RATON, FLA. — Butcher’s Naturals, a provider of natural dog treats and chews, announced its partnership with not-for-profit Patriot Service Dogs (PSD) on June 12. Through the partnership, the pet treat company will serve as a Gold Level Sponsor of PSD’s “15 Years of PSD: A Celebration” anniversary event on Aug. 10.
Founded in 2009, PSD provides veterans with high-quality service dogs. Since its founding, the organization has trained more than 65 service dog teams, helped hundreds of incarcerated women through the WOOF Prison Program and fostered a volunteer base. According to PSD, it is the smallest organization to achieve membership of Assistance Dogs International, a leading authority in service dogs.
According to Butcher’s Naturals, its commitment to providing dogs with the best nutrition aligns perfectly with PSD’s goal of improving the lives of service dogs and their owners. Butcher’s Naturals offers limited-ingredient treats, made with a single source of protein and sourced from food-grade manufacturers in Germany.
“Butcher’s Naturals is thrilled to support the incredible Patriot Service Dogs’ mission and also be part of their 15th Anniversary celebration,” said Pete Chesna, director of Eurofresh Foods, producer of Butcher’s Naturals. “Their dedication to providing service dogs to those who have served our country and communities is truly inspiring. We are honored to support their mission and contribute to this special event.”
The event will seek to build awareness of PSD’s mission. All proceeds from the event will support the organization’s efforts to provide service dogs to those in need.
“Training can only take a dog so far; for them to become a professional service dog for a veteran, they need a healthy base from which to start,” said Julie Sanderson, co-founder and president of PSD. “Knowing we are providing healthy treats to our service dogs confirms we are creating that base. That’s why we appreciate this partnership with Butcher’s Naturals so much.”
