LOGANSPORT, IND. — Foppers shared that it has opened additional co-manufacturing capacity for pet treats on June 10. According to the company, the need for reliable co-manufacturers has risen as pet treat companies seek to keep pace with shifts in consumer demand.

Through additional capacity, the company aims to help alleviate pressure on brands to stay in stock.

“Over the last 18 months, Foppers has really shifted our focus to grow our contract manufacturing segment and onboard growing brands,” said Emily Gillam, vice president of sales at Foppers. “We offer full turnkey solutions that help alleviate pain points for brands, streamline production, and keep our partners in stock.

“As many co-mans struggle with capacity challenges and fulfillment, Foppers continues to provide a 100% fill rate and reasonable lead times to our customers,” she added. “We currently have open capacity, and we’re searching for the right partnerships to fill it. Today, most of our new business is based solely on referrals which is an amazing feeling.”

Foppers specializes in hard and soft-baked treats for a variety of companion animal species. Additionally, the company offers yogurt enrobing, hand decorating and multi-flavor or multi-color blending capabilities.

The company touts extensive capacity and has a Phase 2 capacity expansion planned when regular capacity is running over 90%. According to Foppers, this ensures that its partners continue to receive product, now and in the future. With a central location in the Midwest, the company can also help alleviate increasing freight costs.
