SAN DIEGO — The Honest Kitchen, a human-grade pet food company, announced June 4 the appointment of CPG industry veteran Kirk Jensen to the role of chief operating officer, effective immediately. According to the company, Jensen’s appointment underscores the company’s dedication to fostering innovation and excellence, and under his leadership the company will continue its growth trajectory.

Jensen joins the company following leadership positions at CPG companies including Sovos Brands, Snyder’s Lance and Frito Lay.

Prior to joining The Honest Kitchen, Kirk served as chief operating officer at Sovos Brands. During his tenure, he enhanced the brand’s profitability and reinforced Sovos’s position as a category leader. He was also instrumental in leading the company to a successful IPO and eventual acquisition by Campbell’s.

Jensen also held leadership positions at Snyder's Lance, where he worked to streamline operations and maximize profitability.
