TEMECULA, CALIF. — NaturVet announced March 13 the appointment of Phil Bramel to chief commercial officer of the company. Bramel will leverage his 36-year career in retail and sales to support NaturVet’s sales and marketing strategies.
“It is with great enthusiasm that we introduce Phil Bramel as our chief commercial officer,” said Geoff Granger, chief executive officer of The Garmon Corporation and NaturVet. “I am confident that his expertise in driving growth throughout the dynamic pet health and wellness market positions him as the ideal leader for this role.”
Bramel has held leadership roles across several pet health and wellness companies including Warner-Lambert, Pfizer, J&J and Boehringer-Ingelheim. Most recently, he served as head of US retail sales at Boehringer-Ingelheim Animal Health, where he was central in helping the company establish a retail model from scratch, according to NaturVet. In 2021, Bramel and his team were presented with the Petco 2021 Supplier of the Year Award.
In addition to Petco, Bramel has fostered relationships with many other leading retailers across the United States, such as Walmart, Costco, Target, Amazon, Chewy, 800Petmeds, PetSmart and TSC. He also offers extensive experience in shopper insights, trade marketing, retail distribution and logistics, retail analytics, and various other areas expected to benefit NaturVet’s retail presence.
“It is an honor to join the NaturVet family, particularly at a time when the company stands poised for significant growth,” Bramel said. “The brand’s commitment to excellence and innovation has made it a true frontrunner of the pet wellness industry, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of this outstanding organization.”
Bramel received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida. He is currently based in Rogers, Ark.
Earlier in 2024, NaturVet tapped Granger, a former Petco executive, to lead the company as CEO.
