MUNICH — Online European pet retailer zooplus SE has tapped Jonas Schultheiss to serve as chief marketing officer. He will also join the company’s executive committee.
Schultheiss will be tasked with leading the company’s efforts across digital marketing, marketing data, branding, content creation, design, offline marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) as zooplus seeks to elevate its position in the European pet retail market.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jonas into our team,” said Geoffroy Lefebvre, chief executive officer at zooplus. “His extensive experience will strengthen our platform, enhance our brand identity, and engage more deeply with our customer community. We are confident that, with leadership and together with his teams, Jonas will translate our vision and take our marketing to the next level as we transform zooplus into the most engaging and loved brand for pet parents across Europe.”
Prior to joining zooplus, Schultheiss held several positions over a nine-year period with Marley Spoon, including supporting the company’s launch and establishing its marketing team before being named chief marketing officer in 2017. Earlier in his career, he served in various leadership roles for Delivery Hero, a Berlin-based online food delivery service.
Schultheiss earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Durham University. He will be based at zooplus’s headquarters in Munich.
