ALEXANDRIA, VA. — The Pet Advocacy Network welcomed two new personnel to its team earlier this month. Taylor Livelli has been named manager of government affairs, and Danny Fitzpatrick has been appointed director of marketing and communications.

Livelli has legislative experience at the federal, state and local levels. Prior to joining the Pet Advocacy Network, Livelli focused on healthcare policy, as well as committee and project management, and worked on key bills including the Improving Access to Medicare Coverage Act of 2019.

In her new role at the Pet Advocacy Network, Livelli will be responsible for committee management, tracking legislation, and engaging with lawmakers at various levels on pet industry related legislation.

“I am excited for the opportunity to bring my talents to the Pet Advocacy Network,” Livelli said. “As a person who is passionate about animals, I look forward to being a vocal advocate for the responsible pet care community. The happiness my dog has brought to me makes me particularly enthusiastic about my new role. I hope to increase opportunities for everyone to experience the joy pet ownership has brought to me.”

Prior to joining the Pet Advocacy Network, Fitzpatrick served as director of government and political relations for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), in which he oversaw PAC operations, government affairs, and raised funds for political activities. Fitzpatrick also worked for Koch Industries and served as elected town supervisor of LaFayette, NY.

“It is really tremendous to have the opportunity to bring my skills as a communications professional to help the cause of pets and the pet care community.” Fitzpatrick said. “Having a wife working in the pet industry and being the happy owner of five dogs, I could not think of a better place to work.”

At the Pet Advocacy Network, Fitzpatrick will expand the network’s communications and media contacts.
